How to Beat the Summer Heat

As the height of summer is quickly approaching, the weather can only get hotter. If you’re anything like me, this weather is already unbearable. You cannot go outside otherwise you will be turned into a crisp by the sun. So, I’ve decided to share some of my tips to try and stay cool in a season that will only get worse.

In weather like this, it is important to know what clothes to wear. Lighter coloured clothes tend to reflect light, making them cooler whereas darker coloured clothes absorb light. As well as this, ensuring you are wearing breathable fabrics to free your skin.

Cold drinks are our best friend in the summer. Ice cubes are a must have. When out and about, it is also important to always have a bottle of water. Not only does it save you money, it also saves the environment.

Postponing going out in the sun until earlier or later can prevent direct exposure to the heat and brightness we are so used to. Especially around midday, it can become a little too much to withstand.

Eating fresh is not only good for your health but also your body and mind too! It keeps the kitchen cool which is one of the hottest places in your house.

Hopefully, the weather goes back to normal UK temperatures!
