What To Do on a Rainy Day

What to do on a rainy day.jpg

Although summer is known for its gorgeous weather and beautiful sunshine, it is also known for its torrential storms and horrific rain. In some ways, I do love the rain; the sound it makes, the path it leaves and the boredom it creates. So, in this post I am going to be sharing what to do on a rainy day!

But before I start, I am collaborating with Katie from Nerd Online who is also doing what to do on a rainy day. I’ve linked her post at the end of this one and after you’ve read mine, please do give it a read!

Colour

I love colouring because it is so calming and therapeutic! Colouring makes the time fly by and it is such good fun! This colouring book was from Tiger and the pens were from IKEA.

Revise

Revise

Unfortunately, because of exams, I do need to revise and on a rainy day, you have no excuse! But, make sure to have the right balance or work and play because otherwise you will get overwhelmed.

Learn a Language

Learn a language

I don’t know what I love some much about languages, I just find them so enjoyable! At school, I am learning French and Mandarin Chinese. As well as this, I am attempting to teach myself Sign Language.

Learn an Instrument

I like music in general, especially composing. I play the clarinet and am teaching myself the keyboard and ukulele. Instruments are great ways to pass the time, especially if it is something that you have never done before or that it is something you did in the past.

Start a Journal

Start a journal

Journalling is amazing for expressing your creativity. There are all sorts of ways everyone can use a journal to make them at ease with themselves.

So, they were my activities to do on a rainy day. Once again, thank you to Katie from Nerd Online for collaborating with me!

  1. Great post! I love colouring and listening to podcasts or the radio, I find it very relaxing. Alas, often on a rainy day I’ll just watch some TV, but I think it’d be much more interesting for me to try out one of your suggestions haha.
