Food, one of the simple joys in life. I am constantly fascinated by what other people eat and their dietary and lifestyle requirements. But I’ve never thought about sharing what I eat! Being a vegetarian, some people are so intrigued by eating without meat and for them, it would be one huge struggle. So, in this post, I am going to show how easy it is to switch some things you eat and share what I ate on an ordinary Saturday.
Every Saturday, me and my family have croissants! It is a kind of tradition and when I eat them I know the weekend has begun. I had these with some jam and chocolate sprinkles which my Dad brought back from the Netherlands. These chocolate sprinkles are so delicious because they are pure chocolate and have such a rich flavour.
For lunch, I had a tomato, cheese and pesto panini made with ciabatta. I love paninis because have such an amazing crunch when you bite into them and you can get so creative with what you put inside them. Afterwards, I had some grapes, kiwi and apple.
For dinner, my Dad made this mix of Indian dishes which was gorgeous. He made gunpowder potatoes, mushroom and spinach bhaji, lentil dhal and chapatis. Indian cuisine is probably one of the best in the world, it is just so full of flavour.
Now I don’t have this every time I have a meal, but my twin brother actually got an offer for six free doughnuts at Krispy Kreme! Our family decided to share them and I chose to have the lemon meringue, it was so sweet and bursting with filling.
Hopefully, you found this post interesting to see what I ate on a random day at the weekend. I am also going to do another one of these but on a school day, so keep an eye out for that!
