Listen to the moon by Michael Morpurgo

Listen to the moon is a great book. Set in 1915 (at the beginning of the First World War), Alfie and his father go fishing one day to discover a girl abandoned on one of the islands. Completely clueless of who she is, the family decide to bring her up.

Along the way, it seems the book is going to have an unhappy ending, nevertheless, I can assure you, it has a happy one. Full of different points of view, this book is ideal for readers who were moved by Wonder by R.J Palacio or who have a keen  interest in WW1.

This book will take you on an emotional rollacoaster; it will make you feel for the characters. Although you may not understand it at times, this is a
really inspiring book.
